Promoting excellence in higher education
The Summit website was created to support scholarly activities and collaborations with institutional and Australian Learning and Teaching Council ( ALTC) awards, grants, and fellowships. The Omnium software facilitates the necessary interaction between those involved through features such as news, forums and members’ lists.
Contemporary Chinese Art Gallery
White Rabbit approached Omnium with a challenge – to design a unique website that would showcase their extensive Chinese art collection. Additionally, Omnium provided White Rabbit with an interactive platform unique to the art world. On the White Rabbit website, the artists can display their own profiles, portfolios and communicate with each other and with the public.
Porosity Studio 2008
Porosity Studio 2008, By the Throat, forms part of the British Council’s Creative Cities project, a three year cultural and artistic partnership between East Asia and the UK to develop creative cities where global citizens can thrive. Omnium provided an visual online platform for student / mentor collaboration and information sharing.
Research Methods Course
Omnium Software provides RCA with an effective online community for their postgraduate research students to showcase their works and interact with each other virtually.
E-Learning and Knowledge-Sharing (ELKS)
Omnium software was the foundation for the E-Learning and Knowledge-Sharing (ELKS) community of expertise, led by the Beyond Distance Research Alliance at the University of Leicester as part of the UN Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UN-GAID).
Online Research Network
The Art & Design Faculty at Monash University utilises Omnium Software to provide their postgraduate research students with regular news and information. Omnium is also utilised as a place for students to post their works and interact with each other online.
Raffles University has been utilising Omnium software as a means of connecting global campuses and creating an online meeting for the University staff. The site proposes to facilitate the pooling of resources and provide an area for discussion and feedback between international campuses. The Raffles community is continually growing in size and scope.
NYGH P2P Learning Environment
Omnium provides an online gallery interface as part of the NYGH face-to-face learning. Students have a chance to showcase their works and receive comments and feedback from their peers, teachers and guests.
B.Graphic Design Portfolio
Omnium provides an environment for graduating students in the Graphic Design course to showcase their portfolio. In addition to this, the students engage in discussion and feedback sessions with their peers, tutors and special guests - both local and international.
Master Design (Online) - Design Contract
Omnium provided the Masters students of RMIT Design with an interactive and collaborative interface that allowed for the facilitation of group discussion and feedback online.

The University of Wollongong utilised the online collaborate community provided by Omnium as means of connecting external tutors from different locations.
An accompanying site for The Australian Council of University Art and Design School Conference 07. Omnium software not only facilitated the registration and payment for system the conference, but also provided the means for the gathering of resources, images, publications and other important information that was utilised by participants and convenors.
COFA Alumni Community
Omnium software was utilised by COFA to help fulfill the aims of the Alumni association. These aims are to provide a high level of network influence that facilitates links between the University and its broad graduate community; and to provide all alumni with the opportunity to stay in touch with UNSW and to benefit from that connection.
Octopus: Milan
A cross-disciplinary design project between COFA and the Politecnico Milano. Omnium software was used to facilitate early interactions between students in Italy and Australia, and to host online discussions with special guests from various countries over the course of the project.
A cross-disciplinary design project between COFA and the Faculty of Built Environment at The University of New South Wales. Omnium was used to facilitate early interactions between students from these separate campuses, and to host online discussions with special guests from various faculties over the course of the project.
Omnium software facilitates the linking of eight partner universities and eight linked universities in this project under the auspices of the Council of Australian Directors of Academic Development (CADAD). The STL community is continuously growing and is a place for the sharing of resources, discussions and important information related to sessional teaching.
Re-Design and Re-Construct - Timor Leste Project
In the course of 14 weeks, Omnium Software has provided an online space to post important news and resources, as well as a place for students and tutors to discuss the issues related to the Timor Leste project.
Parasite: Rotterdam
A cross-disciplinary design project between COFA and the Willem de Kooning School. Omnium software was used to facilitate early interactions between students in the Netherlands and Australia, and to host online discussions with special guests from various countries.
COFA Online Course Author Fellowship
COFA Online has been utilising Omnium software to facilitate online discussions between professionals and educators who participate in the COFA Online Course Author Fellowship program.
COFA Online Courses
COFA (College of Fine Arts) Online has been using Omnium Software since 2002 and currently has successfully run 30+ interfaces, with over 700 students per year.
Beyond Research Community
Omnium assists Beyond Distance Research Alliance in creating a community network for teachers, researchers and practitioners from around the world. This online network brings together like-minded people interested in innovation for teaching and learning, from any discipline or level of education.
Online Research Network
Omnium Software provides an online community that enables doctoral and masters research students to actively engage with each other and supervisors at all times during the course of their degree. It provides a vital source of information exchange, with the opportunity for on-going discussions on all aspects involved in postgraduate study.
Superstudio 2005
A cross-disciplinary project between students from different Universities in Sydney. Omnium provided an online environment for students to communicate with each other prior to the physical event.
Contemporary Issues in Design
The Omnium software was utilised by the University of Canberra to create a unique online and collaborative environment that could be used by students and teachers alike.
Collaborative Learning Workshop, Digital Storytelling Workshop
Omnium provided a collaborative and interactive interface for the students and teachers of these Sydney based TAFE workshops to communicate and work online with one another.
Visualising the Science of Genomics Project
Omnium Software was used to facilitate the online science and graphic collaboration project between students and professors from 24 Universities in 11 Countries.
Graphics and Contemporary Society (GCS)
The interactive and collaborative nature of Omnium allowed for a unique approach to this graphics course and led to a highly successful and dynamic output from the students.
