The original concept of what we often to term The Omnium Project is one of an ongoing research study, conducted by a collective of people around the globe, into Online Collaboration & Creativity (OCC). Most often based within the realms of education for visual artists and designers, Omnium has strived to remain in ‘synch’ with professional creative practices, in the way they have embraced collaboration and online technologies into contemporary working processes.

As well as producing and hosting a ever growing series of online creative projects for people around the globe, many of which are viewable in the Galleries section, Omnium also frequently publishes papers and presents at national and international conferences/seminars on design or education. Funded by a succession of research grants, income from Omnium Software services, as well taking on numerous commercial design commissions, Omnium’s ongoing research strives to make it easier for individuals to learn, or work creatively, with others who one might never meet in person.
