The title of the project

This stunning set of cushions (4 x cushions) are made by skilled Lumban embroiders (PML collective) using traditional sewing machine work.

The images on all cushions are based on the smiling faces of Philippino children. All capture the essence of daily life, fishing, praying, farming and playing around with friends. By making the subject matter of the embroidery relevant to the female embroiderers, they can enjoy bringing scenes of their everyday activities to life.
